FundedWork set out to make startup hiring more transparent, giving job seekers access to exclusive opportunities hidden within investor and startup networks. Scaling this vision required capital and, eventually, the right partner to carry the platform into its next chapter.
DCP partnered with FundedWork to raise a $500K seed round, then guided the company through an acquisition process that concluded with its sale in November 2025.
The Challenge
As an early-stage AI/SaaS platform, FundedWork needed capital to build out its aggregation technology and prove its model before competing for larger opportunities. Later, the company needed a partner who could identify the right acquirer and run a sale process without disrupting operations or team morale.
Balancing near-term growth with a credible path to exit required careful sequencing and the right relationships on both the investor and buyer side.
The Approach
We structured and led FundedWork's $500K seed round, connecting the company with investors aligned with its mission of transparent startup hiring. As the company matured, we ran a targeted acquisition process beginning in October 2025, identifying and negotiating with qualified buyers.
The process closed with a successful sale in November 2025, delivering a strong outcome for FundedWork's founders and investors.
